CraKitUp is a learning app built specifically for students preparing for PSC (Public Service Commission) and SSC (Staff Selection Commission) competitive exams in India.
The challenge
PSC and SSC preparation is a high-stakes journey that can last years. Aspirants are overwhelmed by the size of the syllabus, by material scattered across YouTube, PDFs and coaching notes, and by having no structured, measurable path. Generic edtech apps don’t match the specific question patterns and difficulty curves of these exams.
What we built
We worked with experienced PSC/SSC educators and past toppers to map the exam patterns precisely, then built the app around three modes: Learn (topic-wise notes and concept cards), Practice (subject-wise question banks) and Test (full-length timed mocks that simulate the real exam interface).
The UX was deliberately kept distraction-free: no social feed, no gimmicks. Instead we invested in analytics that show not just a score, but accuracy by topic, time per question, and how weak areas compare with top performers.
- Curated topic-wise notes covering the Kerala PSC and SSC syllabus
- 10,000+ questions with verified answers and explanations
- Daily practice sets with adaptive difficulty based on past performance
- Full-length mock tests with a real-exam timer and interface
- Live 1v1 battles and a leaderboard to make daily practice competitive
- Detailed post-test analysis: topic accuracy, time management, percentile rank
- Streaks, hearts and XP to keep a daily habit going
- Daily current-affairs digest in MCQ format, with offline access for notes and saved sets
The result
CraKitUp helped over 2,000 beta users structure their preparation within the first month. Students who used the analytics improved their mock scores by an average of 22% over six weeks, and the daily current-affairs digest became the most-used feature in the app.
