Grown Health is a wellness app for people who want to build sustainable healthy habits rather than chase short-term fitness goals.

The challenge

The health app market is crowded, yet most apps either overwhelm users with data or oversimplify until they’re useless after a week. People churn because the app doesn’t adapt to their pace, doesn’t celebrate real progress, and doesn’t connect sleep, nutrition and performance.

What we built

The design philosophy was “progress over perfection”. We stripped away the noise and focused on three pillars: consistency tracking, holistic insights and gentle accountability.

Onboarding is built around goal-setting rather than data collection, asking what you want to feel, not just what you want to weigh. The home screen is a daily check-in, not a data dashboard.

  • Daily activity and workout logging with a library of 200+ exercises
  • Custom workout builder with sets, reps, duration and rest timers
  • Nutrition tracker with macro breakdown and meal photo logging
  • Sleep tracking with quality scoring and weekly trends
  • Habit tracker with streaks and gentle reminders
  • Weekly insight cards connecting sleep, activity and nutrition
  • Private progress photos and body metrics

The result

In beta, Grown reached 68% day-7 retention, well above the roughly 25% typical for health apps. Users credited the calm visual language and the insight cards as the reasons they came back daily.

The screens shown here are design mockups of the app’s flows.
